Skips Go Through Their Paces at Lauro Golf Bowling Club

Feb. 2011 - Lauro Golf & Benavista BC

Report by John Carr

At the invitation of club officials, Frank Ball & Terry Morgan, John Carr, Coordinator for Malaga province Instructors Group, ran a coaching course for bowlers at Lauro Golf BC in Februarary. The weather was superb, the setting idyllic and the participants full of enthusiasm.

The subjects included: Improving communication between Skips and the team, Reading & Building the Head. There were practical sessions on the green and intense & lively discussions around the table on these important, but often neglected, topics.

The general consensus was that the sessions had been very useful to both participants and Instructor and that follow-ups should be held at the club in the near future.

John Carr conducts a round the table discussion.
John Carr & Terry Morgan conduct the Reading the Head session.
