The Lomax Cup Ladies Singles competition was held as a round robin over 4 days, one of which was very wet.  The two ladies going through to the Finals next March are Doreen Hall and Julie Preddy.

Cabrera’s inter club evening, sponsored by Cabrera Fiesta Committee, was held on 16 June when 60 bowlers from all four local clubs played rinks.  The winning team (L/R Peter Sands, Joan Parsons, Sheila Kinson, Sylvia Watkins) was presented with a bottle of wine each by Robert Uzzell of Cabrera Fiesta Committee.  Over €300 was raised for the Fiesta Committee from the entrance fee and a raffle.  The bowlers and some 20 supporters enjoyed a lovely buffet provided by Book the Cooks.
