APPENDIX A - WINTER & BERLEEN LEAGUES WINTER LEAGUE 1) The maximum number of entries be restricted to the number of Clubs eligible to enter the league ie 16 2) Each Club may enter a 1 (one) side. 3) Each side will comprise 5 (Five) teams of 4 (four) players. 4) Each team in the side must have 1 (one) of the opposite sex 5) Results MUST be confirmed by submission of the League Result Sheet by 9pm on the day of the match to the League Coordinator. 6) The designated day for the league to be played is Wednesday. 7) Use of Law 39.2.2 (playing a player short in a rinks team). This may only be applied to 1 (one) team in a Side and used twice by each Side(if applicable) in a playing season. Thereafter Rule (17b) and Rule (18) will apply. BERLEEN LEAGUE 1) Before the start of the season each Club must declare if they will be playing in this league (either not at all or 1 (one) team). If a Club does not meet their commitment at any time then the default Rule 17(b) and 18 will apply. 2) The fixture list for this League will be the same as that for the Winter League. 3) Each team must comprise of 4 (four) players of single or mixed sex. 4) Use of Law 39.2.2 (playing a player short in a rinks team). This may only be used twice by each side (if applicable) in a playing season. Thereafter Rule (17b) and Rule (18) will apply. PS Normal scoring under 17a & 17b will now apply. APPENDIX B - SOUTHERN LEAGUE 1) Each Club may enter up to a maximum of 4 (four) sides and each side must be mixed. 2) Each side will consist of 6 (six) teams of 3 (three) players. 3) The league will be divided into 3 (three) divisions with promotion and relegation each season. This will be reviewed and discussed before the beginning of each season, when entries are known, to equalise the divisions as best as possible. 4) Results MUST be submitted on the League Result Sheet by 9pm on the day of the match to the League Coordinator. 5) The designated day for the league to be played is a Friday. 6) North v South Play Off - The side finishing top of the Southern League Division 'A' shall play off against the Northern League Winner as directed by the LLB. Any team unable to fulfill a home fixture due to the unavailability of their home green will play it on a neutral green (notice of dates will be given before the season starts). If a side cannot play on the pre-arranged dates then that side will forfeit The overall winner will be decided by the most points won (there will be NO points awarded for overall shot difference.) If points are equal, a team from each club will be drawn by the Umpire and play an extra end on a neutral rink (if possible). APPENDIX C - NORTHERN LEAGUES NORTHERN WINTER TRIPS LEAGUE 1) Each Club may enter a maximum of 3 (three) sides and each side must be mixed. 2) Each side will consist of 4 (four) teams of 3 (three) players. 3) The results MUST be confirmed by the submission of the League Result Sheet by 9pm on the day of the match to the League Coordinator. 4) North v South Play-off - The Side finishing top of the Northern League shall play off against the Southern League Division 'A' Winner as directed by the LLB. Any team unable to fulfill a home fixture due to the unavailability of their home green will play it on a neutral green (notice of dates will be given before the season starts.) If a side cannot play on the prearranged dates then that side will forfeit the game. The overall winner will be decided by the most points won (there will be NO points awarded for overall shot difference). If points are equal, a team from each club will be drawn by the Umpire and play an extra end on a neutral rink (if possible). CHALLENGERS LEAGUE 1) Before the start of the season each Club must declare if they require a team in the Challengers League, to play alongside 1 (one) of their Northern League Sides. 2) Only 1 (one) Team allowed per Side. 3) If a Team does not meet their commitment at any time then default Rule 17(b) and 18 will apply. 4) The fixture list for this League will be the same as that for the Northern League. 5) Each Team must comprise of 3 (three) players of single or mixed sex. 6) The Team with the highest total of shots will be awarded 2 (two) points. 7) If the match result is a tie each Team will be awarded 1 (one) point. 8) Failing to fulfill a fixture will result in a penalty of 2 (two) points and 10 (ten) shots being awarded to the opposition. 9) Please refer to generic Rule (6) re Interchange of Players. NORTHERN SUMMER LEAGUE 1) Each Club may enter a maximum of 2 Sides, and each Side must be mixed. 2) Each Side will consist of 4 Teams of 3 Players. ……(12 players required) 3) Each Team will play 3 disciplines, a Triples game (1st) a Pairs game (2nd) a Singles game (3rd), the remaining 2 home players to be made available, to mark the singles game. 4) The toss of a coin to determine possession of the mat before each discipline. 5) Each Player in the Team must, and only, play in 2 of the 3 disciplines. 6) Each game to be played with 2 woods only. 7) Each game played will be over 8 ends. ………….. (Maximum 16 ends per player) 8) No visits to the head allowed, with the exception of 1 visit per player in any Singles Game. 9) No dead ends – jack to be re-spotted on the 2 metre mark. 10) Trial ends, maximum 2 woods allowed, on the first discipline only. 11) Each discipline will carry 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. 12) The Side with the highest overall Match Aggregate in Shots will score an additional 2 points, and if the scores are level, 1 point will be given to both Sides. … (Max 26 points) 13) The home Club must agree the date of each Match with the away Club and it must be played in the designated week 14) All Results must be emailed by both the Home and Away Side to the League Coordinator by 9pm on the day of the match, on the designated Result Sheet Proforma provided. 15) The “World Bowls - Laws of the Sport of Bowls” Crystal Mark Third Edition” (including domestic regulations for Federacion Espanola Bolos) & the LLB “Rules for Leagues” to cover all other Rulings. APPENDIX D - SOUTH ALICANTE WINTER & SPRING/SUMMER LEAGUES 1) Each Club may enter a maximum of 4 (four) sides and each side must be mixed 2) Each side will consist of 6 (six) teams of 3 (three) players. 3) Results MUST be confirmed by submission of the League Result Sheet within 24 hours of the match to the League Coordinator. 4) The designated day for the leagues to be played is a Monday in the Winter and Spring/Summer 5) Promotion and relegation between the Leagues should be reviewed and discussed before the start of each season, when entries have been received. This will allow the Divisions to be equalised as best as possible. APPENDIX E - VALENCIAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (VCL) & PRINCES LEAGUES 1) Each Club may enter a maximum of 4 (four) sides with at least 2 (two) members of each side being of the opposite sex. 2) Each side will comprise - Ladies' Singles, Mens' Singles, Pairs, Triples and 1 (one) Fours . 3) The host Club to supply Markers for Singles games. 4) 2 (two) Leagues will be formed, one comprising of Southern Clubs and the other of Northern Clubs. If necessary 2 or more Divisions may be formed in each Region. 5) Promotion/relegation - This will be reviewed and discussed before the beginning of each season, when entries are known, to equalise the divisions as best as possible. 6) Results MUST be confirmed by submission of the League Result Sheet by 9pm on the day of the match to the League Co-ordinator. 7) The designated day for the league to be played is Wednesday. 8) Use of Law 39.2.2 (playing a player short in a rinks team). This may only be applied to 1 (one) team in a Side and used twice by each side (if applicable) in the playing season. Thereafter Rule (17b) and Rule (18) will apply. PRINCES LEAGUE 1) Before the start of the season Clubs must declare their entry into this League. 2) The fixture list for this competition will be the same as that for the VCL. 3) There can only be 1 (one) team entered from each Club in each Division which will be triples and can be mixed or single sex. 4) Results MUST be confirmed by submission of the League Result Sheet by 9pm on the day of the match to the League Coordinator. 5) Failing to fulfill a fixture will result in a penalty of 2 (two) points and 10 (ten) shots will be awarded to the opposition and the offending side will lose 2 (two) points. North v South Play-off - The side finishing top of the Northern League shall play off against the Southern League Division A winner. This will be played on a neutral green to be decided by the LLB Committee. The overall winner will be decided by the most points won (there will be NO points awarded for overall shot difference). If points are equal, a fours team from each side will be drawn (before the start of play) to play an extra end. This extra end to be played on a neutral rink if possible. APPENDIX F - PREMIER TWENTY SUMMER LEAGUE 1) Each Club may enter more than 1 (one) side. 2) Each side will consist of 20 (twenty) players ie 2 (two) teams of 10 (ten)players with 1 (one) team playing at home and 1 (one) playing away. 3) Each team of 10 (ten) players must be mixed with at least 2 (two) of the opposite sex. 4) Each match will consist of a Single, Pair, Triple and Fours with the home team providing an experienced marker for the Singles. 5) As this League is played simultaneously Home & Away, the following applies re Generic Rule 14a and Clubs MUST be able to contact each other throughout the match: i) adverse weather: Rule 15 CANNOT automatically be applied before the start of a match. ii) If at one venue only it is impossible to play the match (before the start) then the WHOLE match, Home & Away, must be re-arranged in line with Rule 16a. iii) If at one venue only a match is stopped and unable to be resumed, then it must be re-arranged /resumed within 7 days, in line with Rule 16b. 6) Following a match where a discipline is conceded, 2 points and 10 shots will be awarded to the opposition. However, if the shot difference is more than 10 shots the actual shot difference will stand (plus the 2 points) 7) Results MUST be confirmed by submission of the League Result Sheet by 2pm on the day following the match to the League Coordinator. 8) The designated day for the league to be played is Tuesday evening each game to commence at the same time. APPENDIX G - FEDERATED FOURS LEAGUE 1) Each Club may enter a maximum of 4 (four) sides and each side must be mixed. 2) Each side will play 3 rinks of fours over 18 ends. 3) The home Captain may select the 3 (three) rinks to be used but they must be next to one another. 4) A date may be offered on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday but if declined (due to other league commitments) an alternative must be offered. Matches to be played within the given scheduled week. 5) 2 (two) leagues will be formed comprising of Southern Clubs and the other of Northern Clubs. If necessary 2 or more Divisions may be formed in each Region. 6) Promotion/relegation - This will be reviewed and discussed before the beginning of each season, when entries are known, to equalise the divisions as best as possible. 7) Results to be emailed to the League Coordinator by 9pm on the day of the match unless an afternoon match when it must be received by 1pm the following day. 8) Use of Law 39.2.2 (playing a player short in a rinks team). This may only be applied to 1 (one) team in a Side and used twice by each side (if applicable) in a playing season. Thereafter Rule (17b) and Rule (18) will apply. The winner of the South Div. A will play the winner of the North. This will be played on a neutral green to be decided on by the LLB Committee. The overall winner will be decided by the most points won (there will be NO points awarded for overall shots). If equal a team drawn (before the start of play) to play an extra end on a neutral rink if possible. APPENDIX H - SOUTH ALICANTE MENS & LADIES 4 WOOD PAIRS LEAGUE 1. Each SIDE consists of 6 (Six) players, 2 TEAMS of Mens/Ladies Pairs, a pair playing home and away simultaneously. 2. All Players may play in any position home or away but may not change during a game. 3. Players may NOT interchange between SIDES. 4. If necessary, a substitute may be used, but NOT play Skip, and can then only play for that SIDE. 5. Results MUST be confirmed by submission of the League Result Sheet by 9pm on the day of the match to the League Co-ordinator. If phoned in the result sheet must be emailed by 9.00pm the following day. Scorecards to be handed to the LLB rep. 5. The designated day for the league to be played is a Friday.
